AK positive guess is that BBs, with DJ up, will jack up the price in Mon, if they had aquired enough stocks to spare. Hence, your choiec leow, whether you want to dump your existing shares which you hv bought them lately. | ||||

Sorry, busy till market closed after lunch break. Focusing on my 5 counters under monitoring. No good show after 4, except Venture, someone collecting it. There were some play at preclosed period on Kepcorp and Venture. They brought up the prices as they accumulated quite amount of cheap stuff, they don't want the price to be too low for the next trading day. My not that good guess loh. I tried to Q 10bids higher on SPC, not working leh, he he.

0619 GMT [Dow Jones] Singapore stock market likely to remain subdued for rest of day, given lack of incentive for investors to chase up stocks further. STI now +0.5% at 3194.35 vs morning high of 3209.71, with Keppel Corp. (BN4.SG) and SembMarine (S51.SG) restraining index on concerns over orderbook growth momentum. Broker says STI's failure to close above 3200 so far shows most investors selling on strength; "most institutional funds remain sidelined, unfazed by the recent rally. Participation is mainly retail." Strong resistance expected at 3250 if STI manages to clear 3200 later in day; support at 3150. Overall volume still modest. (FKH)

i am reminded of the song "Where have all the BBs gone?" (cue: Where have all the flowers gone?). found 2 analyst comments on the web: 1) DBS: "Following the disappointing set of results, DBS Vickers Securities said it has downgraded its recommendation for Keppel Corp to "hold" from "buy" as the company's shares are already trading near its target price of S$12.56. "Growth is unexciting for 2008 and 2009," said DBS Vickers analyst Jesvinder Sandhu in a note to clients. " 2) GS: "But Goldman Sachs kept its investment rating for Keppel at "buy" with a share target price of S$13.75, citing strong demand from the offshore and marine sectors. "We believe the slow Q1 results could lead to some profit-taking on Keppel...however, we see this as buying opportunity, as we believe the results remain on track to reach our full-year earnings estimates," Goldman Sachs analyst David Ng said in a note to clients." |

Big wok leow. I was around staring at the screen, needed to mornitor 5 important counters loh. Nothing sold yet but bought some, instead at pasar malam, got them in Takasimaya%#@*& If BB don't push up the price at morning low in the pm, then Mon price would be lower than today closing price. Look like BB wanted to make advantage of last day trading and people psychologial effect to pull down further. AK can't anything on this counter yet. See pm how loh. Henceforth, I would be attending this pm AGM leow, otherwise AK would ask the Bd why no counter measure acted, ha ha. Joking only, sekali kena hammer by those on stage. Some sifus posted their valid comments as well. |

Actually, from what I understand, the failure to meet analysts expectation came because of a delay in recognition of certain profits. Anyway as said earlier, will pick up some more if it goes below $10. |

missed the boat when it was at 10+ last week and got in too early today, damm... but think selling is overdone at 7.5% drop in 1 day for a fundamentally strong counter. got to hold now. btw, quite new to this forum. what is BB? Big Boys? Bulge Bracket? |
