Now April,  beginning of 2nd Q, Director oredi said - yr end got +ve result.

2-3  major into infrastructure and sales  projects (6 mths?, ok gave her another 3mths  more) when a job is done well  for Polaris Telcom and  for SingTel grp.

Result will show more business for PTPL...no need 2 years to prove.

Having mentioned. Please do your own analysis and trading risk.

Singtel group will hav to depend more on Main Con like CarrierNet  (as SingTel grp need to bring in a lot contractors), then to depend  on h'phone sales to further their substantial and potential infrastructure project, for EG -Polaris Telecom to prove within this two year (Sales Services n sales of products here).

Oredi indicted CarrierNet (to be rename as Polaris Telecom), can hav +ve outlook yr end.

Information on sharing mt thot ONLY, pls do ur own analysis n homework, just promoting stk/shr trading interest in SJ.

Mdr cant sign a contract when singtel is not yet in. Now mdr is in regardless. They can sign anyone. Not just singtel. Thats why i bet mdr. Chances r higher. Not saying carriernet is not a good bet. Just saying mdr doesnt NEED singtel to get contract. Will be NICE if they do but they can Sign anyone.

Do note - Agreement btw Singtel and Al Noor Int'l to distribute Singtel’s satellite phones (Inmarsat), SingTel Broadband Global Area Network (BGAN) and satellite broadcasting bandwidth services in Myanmar. Al Noor Int'l is one of the largest importer of mobile phones in Myanmar.

FYI  Only - SingTel sent in its expression of interest for a phone license in the nation last mth and is awaiting further details on the bidding process and terms of the permit, C.E.O, Ms  Chua Sock Koong said in a Bloomberg Television interview with Haslinda Amin.

Al Noor is in Yangon...Can Singtel count on his retail expert. Onlt I don know why don use MDR..???.

U are right...In with many more shops, as now this is oni the 2nd stage to pre-qualify for 1 of 2 telco operating license.
Right now nobody will be able to tell who n whom get what.
Just betting n speculating on, in ur case - MDR.. me is on SingTel.

gufeng      ( Date: 07-Apr-2013 18:59) Posted:

Correct...Singtel in or not is a question. Mdr are already in with or without Singtel. If they get distributor & service rights from Nokia or Samsung then it will better then just retail for Singtel. Coming 2-3 months we will know who bet the right horses.

Mdr joint venture with GMS sure have its reason. GMS have the connection & distribution of beverage throughout whole Myanmar. You see the picture?

Wrong, my bet already in the money. Mdr CEO already confirmed they are getting their bungalow shop in Yangon city ready in few months time & ready for biz. Another shop in Mandalay.

Whereas Singtel will only in 11 Apr know if they qualify & maybe get a license in Jun.

SIM cards will be sold at a dramatically reduced price of 1,500 kyats (US$2US) in Burma, making mobile phones affordable for the general population for the very first time

350,000 SIM cards will be divided among states and divisions on a monthly basis.

--

Question:   How many mobile phones are needed for the monthly 350,000 SIM cards issued? How many mobile phones needed per year?

Go figure it yourself! DYODD!
