Straits Resource, which is the parent of SAR, is trading at AUD1.14. It's dealing with Gold, Copper and Coal mining. If there is a real M&A in this industries, isn't it more worthwhile acquiring a big stake in Straits Resource instead of SAR? Any senior/veteran out there care to share views? |

It is during such time we can buy sembmarine at 1.5...sembcorp at 2.xx..and SPH at 2.xx..Capitaland at 2.xx....u cant even buy these at beginning oct 2008?..though i tell myself market have yet to bottom, but i personnally do q to buy blues...only blues..on down day. and those who are interest in this Strait Asia, there are no better time to bid then now,..last year u need to pay 4 buck,,,read paper today say 25% abv 94c close..that is 1.18....which is what i hear from rumour that they are going to play up to 1.2...check my previous post..i be joining for sure, afterall i have yet to start work...can see monitor whole day.. |

Im not expert la, But my pov is, if monday this still goes up. Short at $1 should be quite safe unless someone really bid for this counter. Which personally I feel not many company is willing to make such a acquistion given current credit crisis. For any deal to materialise will be extremely difficult althought I do like this counter. If someday they are at 0.7, I will go long.

How do u know???did every buyer and seller report to u???...and as u say it is a falling knife, who want to buy??if nobody buy then why the px can come down to 80c???can u pls explain your statement???... From your argument make me stupid, because i panic and sell at 89..should buy back at 86 and below again...think of it, i have been con by BB to sell..come Monday for me to revenge or for them to slaughter me...wish me luck...hope u dont mind my word..any offend is regretable.

when st asia was 80c last early last wk, nobody dare to touch and all scared like a mouse. when cheong above 90c, all like eaten leopard gall and chased like nobody business...this is how you catch a sharp falling knief! | ||||

Most likel;y this counter will be on it own irrespective of the market, and u be making a mistake to short, but i dont mind , because shortist will have to chase up the px later when they see the px going up..not vested....so short or long really does not make a different., anyway how much can we influence the market base on you and i here? Dont taunt each other, let the market decide, but i think this one will open 94 and stay up....read the news already..will gamble and grap some early in the morning..DOYDD |

cheongwee if my sph can sell @ good price next week,i will follow u. i will put them in straitasia... but hopefully my sph can sell away la,coz quite a bit of $$$ freezed there.... haizzzz... coz i small time trader,so not much capital,got to move the cash from counters to counters.... |

I bought 86c...sold 89, for little profit..reason too greedy and hold too long, how the heck i know they play so late., i no expert , but i panic and sold...the end...current not vested. But come Monday will sure join in ...look Dow is supportive..come and join in the fun ride..pls DYODD.. |
