the next immediate support would be at $0.69 based on chart with resistance at $0.80

I reiniterate, Fundamentally its not worthy of the current mkt price, fair value is abt $0.55 as this company is still not profitable though it recently gotten the CE and by virtue, its a high beta stock so it will be positively correlated to the overall market sentiment.

just some ideas to ponder over.

I stil maintain my SELL call on Jiu Tian in my earlier post.. Based on both TA anD FA. TP 0.18, company likely to be affected by the falling DMF prices.. and big shareholders exiting can means something is bad brewing.. TA show that the counter is still trading along the downtrend with 0.265 the resistance.. so far support level we saw is 0.205 but its not a strong one....

Invest on your own risk..

The Federal Open Market Committee released the following statement Tuesday:
The Federal Open Market Committee has decided to lower its target for the federal funds rate 75 basis points to 3-1/2 percent.
The Committee took this action in view of a weakening of the economic outlook and increasing downside risks to growth. While strains in short-term funding markets have eased somewhat, broader financial market conditions have continued to deteriorate and credit has tightened further for some businesses and households. Moreover, incoming information indicates a deepening of the housing contraction as well as some softening in labor markets.
The Committee expects inflation to moderate in coming quarters, but it will be necessary to continue to monitor inflation developments carefully.
Appreciable downside risks to growth remain. The Committee will continue to assess the effects of financial and other developments on economic prospects and will act in a timely manner as needed to address those risks.
Voting for the FOMC monetary policy action were: Ben S. Bernanke, Chairman; Timothy F. Geithner, Vice Chairman; Charles L. Evans; Thomas M. Hoenig; Donald L. Kohn; Randall S. Kroszner; Eric S. Rosengren; and Kevin M. Warsh. Voting against was William Poole, who did not believe that current conditions justified policy action before the regularly scheduled meeting next week. Absent and not voting was Frederic S. Mishkin.
In a related action, the Board of Governors approved a 75-basis-point decrease in the discount rate to 4 percent. In taking this action, the Board approved the requests submitted by the Boards of Directors of the Federal Reserve Banks of Chicago and Minneapolis. End of Story

Fed cuts interest rates by 75 basis points

Acting forcefully against economic risk and financial market meltdown, the Federal Reserve cut its overnight lending rate by 75 basis points to 3.50%, the Fed announced Tuesday. It was the first time the Fed had cut interest rates between meetings since the 9/11 attacks in 2001. "The committee took this action in view of a weakening economic outlook and increasing downside risks to growth," the Federal Open Market Committee said in a statement. Downside risks to growth remain. The committee met on Monday evening. End of Story

Hi guys, I know its really a bad time everyone in the stock market is facing.. i m sure everyone here lose money in stock market before.. you win big, you can lose big.. most importantly, take it on your stride.. If you not foreseeing that you be using that sum of $$, just pick up and hold long term.. but if you r really tight on finances.. i would think cutting loss will be a better choice, cos if such sentiment continues and US is going to recession.. this counter will go down further.. and for this stock to be maintaining above $1, it must be at least profit-making.. the CE is not the key to success for this counter and I think the current mgt is not able to make this biz a profitable one.. perhaps is the biz model.. the product can be good but without good sales and marketing.. it jus wouldn't work..

So, I would say just face the reality and move on.. alot of better opportunities out there to grab. you are not a loser as long as you r still in this mkt.. so hang on and we will all see the bright future in time to come..

good luck to those hanging out there!!

the remaining stale bulls tried their best hold their defense at 2800 but under heavy artillery fire by the BBs and prowling retail bears, rampanting the city of SGX, the line of defense is breached 3 times and the gate is finally opened.. the line of defense bull retreat to will be at 2600.. that wil be the last line of defense.. if breached.. STI can surrender all their 2006 and 2007 gains to the new conquesor (the great black canadian bear) and we shall all live in a gloomy stock market for a long time because the next raging bull take charge and lead the battle against the bear again.

I am not surprise that it will hit the IPO price of $0.95 by end of the month. Expect to see alot of margin call, force-selling next few days.. tomolo shd have a rebound, if want, can cut loss or take profit tomolo.

good luck ppl and be careful.

Hi all. for those vested.. put on ur seat beat and flight yzj is going for a crash landing.. for ppl who intend to go in for this counter, u can look at it when it go down to $1.24 if it ever break $1.36.

I am sure it will test the support at 1.36 today. For the share buyback, its definitely a good news but then it dun give the company incentive to push the counter up in such market. so i foresee the buyback price not v attractive or so immediate.

I feel that its just a temporary short covering.. should have another round of selling and retest 3000 level.. Once break, I think STI can head straight for 2800 liao..

Now the bears are definitely laughing while all the stubborn bulls are suffering big losses..

finally, chinese investor start to realised that they r going down with the US counterparts.. decoupling from US is impossible.. though having a potentially large domestic demand, it not easy to change their spending habits and increase domestic so much within such a short period to buffer the shortfall in demand from US when US go into recession.

All companies and factories running in full capacity will have to cut production, stocking up excess inventories. In a whole, China will not goes into recession but definitely experience a slowdown in the short run and the stock mkt should reflect this phenomenon.

As for Singapore, we are highly reliance on exports to countries like US, Japan, China, etc.. Singapore will be badly hit by this and I expect STI to go down to 2800 with all fiancials coming down, together with other manufacturing sectors..

my 2cents worth.

Oh.. i think its a big conspiracy.. research giving buy call but they r selling big time.. i foresee next to issue buy call will be by Merrill cos they are still holding a big chunk. haha.. Fair value should be $0.18.

Selling might not end so fast!! and their report earning wouldn't be good, that's y funds r unloading.

Another reason for downside is that financing cost are increasing as Chinese central banks are increasing ledning rate and their tax holiday is expiring soon.

Just my 2 cents worth.
