Following news, such news is always a back up to push it init opening px higher...

It is very old kind of very common infomation to me, and

it always happening like that for very init ipo on offer. thk for d info.

Those who get caught in such info mean have to pay a higher buying px.

STX Pan Ocean IPO - 5 years ago. 

Maximum Price per Share : S$1.27 (surprise is that the share is priced at $0.90)

Price of $0.945c at opening, morning trading hitting all day high of $1.07c.

Finally closed at $0.97c with a volume of 70,821,000 million share changed hands.

The IPO price of S$0.90c and within the S$0.96c to S$1.27c indicative range for the IPO.

teeth53 thot - Today it's trading at $15 to $16 dollars range. So who is L.O.L. to the bank ?.

teeth53 thot - Bad...yeh. would not be that bad when BBs appear to roll out their support. Just try my luck (tikam & see) can collect some kopi money or not...humm (1 to 2 lots only). For retailers, Short to medium term, either Stag / hold, (can see it go beyond $1.13c, err...just a wild guess.)

Respect STX Group, Book building range from 79c - 113c, they will make this STX OSV ipo-ing offering a success. (it has proven with it 1st IPO - STX pan Ocean) 
For simply reason - They have already lower the ipo offer to bottom range of 0.79c, to rewarded the risk-takers aka the institution clients of Goldman Sachs, as a reward where meat will be awarded among those BBs.

Noted that - Originally, they wanted to help their Korean client raise US$400mil, but due to poor response. They downsize the whole offering,

Start Trading : 14 July 2005, 0900Hrs
Maximum Price per Share : S$1.27
PE : Around 7X (Based on 2004 Earning per share)
Well the ballot result for STX Pan Ocean is out. Below is the information for ballot result:

Comment: It was quite a surprise that they allocated quite a good ratio for small time invester. It may be due to London bombing as people cut their booking in STX Pan Ocean IPO. Another surprise is that the share is priced at $0.90, which mean the PE is around 5 time based on 2004 earning. This should improve the interest of the share when it start trading on 14 July 2005.

STX Pan Ocean started trading today at SGX. With a price of $0.945 at opening, it started with a bang in the earlier morning trading hitting all day high of $1.07. It finally closed at $0.97 with a volume of 70821K.
STX is trading in positive region with a gain of 7.7% debut trading. Not too bad, consider some analysts predicated that it will be trading under $0.90 before the market start. after I fail to sell it at $1.03 and then $1.00 in morning. Too bad , that I am not selling it during the initial ramp up stage. At least, I still manage to around get around 6% yield after I deduct the IPO application fee and the new trading charge of $25.00

ADVERTISEMENT - The shares rose as much as 19% to S$1.07 in early trade before pulling back to close at S$0.97, but still above the IPO price of S$0.90 and within the S$0.96 to S$1.27 indicative range for the IPO.

Wahh....even more difficult to get it. Up my estimated opening to +10%

For eg - Setting an indicative price of between S$0.90c and S$1.13 a share for the listing.

Placement no need to chk, Remisiers/Dealers can tell how many lots u get or subscribe for.

Check into internet is the earliest 2moro, bank earliest after 5pm, DBS/POSB after 8pm (minus refundable balance, amounted - $ into your bank acct). 

B4 8:30am, on the actual day it start trading, for final confirmation - check your CDP acct

Central Depository (CDP) if one have did open acct with them.
