Latest news - Published Nov 20, 2010 (Source - businesstimes.com.sg)
Sabana Reit IPO priced at $1.05 a share, to raise $491m

SABANA Shariah Compliant Reit, which owns industrial properties in Singapore, has priced its IPO at $1.05 a share, the midpoint of an indicative range, to raise $491 million, IFR reported yesterday, citing sources.

Sabana Reit, Singapore's first Islamic Reit and the largest syariah-compliant property trust anywhere, is offering 605.8 million units in the initial public offering (IPO). It had originally set a price guidance of $1.00-$1.10.

The retail tranche of the IPO, which started later yesterday, will close on Nov 24 and the units will begin trading on Nov 26, IFR added.

Sabana controls 15 industrial properties in Singapore with an aggregate floor area of about 3.3 million square feet.

The manager of the Reit had forecast in a draft prospectus a distribution yield of 8.45 per cent for 2011 and 8.48 per cent for 2012 based on the minimum offer price of $1.00. FIL Investment Management Hong Kong, a unit of US fund manager Fidelity, and Bahrain's al-Salam Bank are among the cornerstone investors that will buy 101.8 million units in the IPO.

HSBC is the sole financial adviser for the IPO and is joint global coordinator, bookrunner and underwriter with United Overseas Bank and Daiwa. -- Reuters

This 4 trading days with a break on Wednesday, dun seem to be working in flavour for stablizing, rather good opportunities again for BBs to do their bidding, either opening at lower px, then force buyers to buy up, if not opening at buyer px - force buyers to take margin and go on profit taking (allowing smaller players to buy at higher px and await to sell higher high)

Foreign investors sell off amid capital control talks
*
Euro zone crisis, China rates talk hits sentiment
* Indonesia, Malaysia buck trend

By Shihar Aneez
COLOMBO, Nov 16 (Reuters) - Most Southeast Asian stock markets fell on Tuesday on slow global recovery concerns,

a possible rate hike for China and speculation over the imposition of capital controls to tame the rise of the region's currencies.

Thailand and Singapore fell 2.8 percent and 0.8 percent respectively, with both hitting two-week lows.

Vietnam, the region's worst performer, hit a new 2-? month low, closing 1.5 percent weaker.

"The worries that China may increase its interest rate and possible capital control measures hit the regional markets overall,"

said Rakpong Chaisuparakul, a market strategist at Bangkok-based KGI Securities.

"Also, Euro zone debt crisis and conflict between economists and politicians on the viability of QE2 have contributed as negative

factors from the global side." Euro zone finance ministers will try to find a way to end Ireland's debt crisis on Tuesday, with Dublin

resisting pressure to seek a state bailout by signalling that only its banks may need help.Indonesia and Malaysia bucked the trend with

gains of 0.5 percent and 0.1 percent respectively. Manila was closed for a holiday. Optimism in the region's emerging markets

evaporated amid speculation over capital control to prevent sharp rises in currencies of the respective countries in the region.

On Tuesday, the Bank of Thailand said it is considering stronger capital controls but was weighing them carefully to avoid longer-term

damage. Indonesia on Monday said it has been studying the possibility of taxing capital inflows. Foreign investors have been mostly

on the selling side on the region's bourses. Jakarta saw a $95 million outflow in the past four straight session including $13.2 million

on Tuesday. The Philippines saw a $33.3 million outflow in the last six sessions. Thailand suffered a $202.7 million foreign outflow in

the last five successive sessions, including $23.3 million on Tuesday, Reuters data showed. Analysts said investors are also worried

high valuations, which prompted some prominent shareholders to cash out more than $1.9bn from Asia's equity markets last week.

Indonesia is trading at a 15.3 forward price-to-earnings ratio, below all-Asia's 13.5 and expensive than Thailand's 12.4.

The Philippines is trading at 13.4, while Singapore and Malaysia are trading at 14.0, Thomson Reuters StarMine data showed.

Published November 16, 2010
(SINGAPORE) Palm oil refiner Mewah International has priced its US$214 million initial public offering (IPO) in Singapore below an indicative price range, sources said, as the deal was hurt by the recent sell-off in markets.

The palm oil firm's IPO follows a string of successful IPOs in Singapore, such as the US$3 billion listing of Global Logistic Properties (GLP) and Mapletree Industrial Trust's (MIT) about US$720 million IPO.

Unlike Mewah, GLP and MIT were priced at the top of their indicative range, a sign that appetite for IPOs may be waning after the two large listings in October.

Mewah priced its IPO at S$1.10 a share, two sources familiar with the deal said yesterday, against an indicative price range of S$1.25-S$1.55 each.

Credit Suisse is the sole global coordinator and joint bookrunner with BNP Paribas.
