Since warrant exe px is at 0.05c and at current closing (mother shr) of 0.14c. Assuming he bot mother shr at 6c to 8c, his warrant bot will be damm cheap, definately much cheaper then now (warrant closed at 0.08c, Err..maybe 4c-5c). it is reasonable to assume 0.13c is resistant turn support. Since he is a major share holder, he is in control, he would be prefer to hold such share at less then 0.10c, and by pushing it beyond 0.175c, he can make 100% profit on his warrant, dun say about his other mother share.

That how he can make his milliom $$$.

Once warrant is done with, he may, in fact want to push mother share up beyond 0.175c by calling on his kakis to buy /sell, buy /sell till TP is reach, leaving the last to hold.. imagine - 50mil warrant or 4.39% more is converted liao to mother share.

That how PL can make his million. Unless he want to buy even at cheaper px again

Its time i tell the truth... the myth why the price is stagnant for soo long... All of u have to thank me for buying at a much lower price now...

why? becos i bought some "shares", "a lot = 1000 share?"  at price 0.175, PL and gang dont want me to buy more... thus pressured me to sell to them cheap, but guess what? i prepared another "BIG war chest" waiting for him and his gang to push down below 0.10... haha :)

So i am waiting for him and his gang... so is he... haha :)

So who wins, whose patience will wear out? we shall see ok?

Are u entertained? IF yes, pls clap hands... i am "not kidding" by the way... haha :)

If it is private, they can eat all the money they want - now current share holders wanted badly to eat public money, so as to continue eating and pocketing more into their personnal money machine.

Amtex CEO. Mr Daniel Yeong Bou Wai  like that Si Bei Chait lat liao.

7) Besides paying themselves a US$100mil dividend , the Vendors has an outstanding loan of US$52.7 million from Amtek, which the Vendors will repay to Amtek using the IPO proceeds. Meanwhile, in the past 3 years Amtek paid about US$10mil annually in financing charges to the banks. Is it a coincidence that Std Chartered is one of Amtek's 2 main bankers?

8 ) The CEO and CFO both joined after the privatization, i.e. this Amtek is not led by the A-Team that brought Amtek to where it was. I counted at least 5 other senior management people whom the CEO took with him to Amtek from GES. Interestingly. (Former GES - GM).

The CEO (himself) got a pay jump from at least S$1mil in 2009 to at least S$1.75mil in 2010 even though Amtek made a loss in 2009 and only recovered slightly in 2010. Oh, by the way, the CEO owns 8.2% of the vendor that is selling the shares.

Let see how ?, those Angmo hold this baby for Daniel Yeong.and companies

Say NO to Private Equity Greed, Say NO to Amtek IPO

Amtek was one of my double-bagger previously. I just took a look at the prospectus, but I don't think I will go for it this time.

1) The company was stagnant from the time it got privatised till now. Revenue dropped from US$786m in 2008 to $638m in 2010 (Jun end). Profits more than halved from $46.1m to $21.7m. Made a loss of $12m in 2009.

2) The private equity owners paid themselves a dividend of SG 23.46c per share (about US$100m) in 2009, causing equity to half.

3) YET, the company is trying to raise up S$547mil from IPO, about the same as the takeover price of $552mil. The IPO would value Amtek at $706m to $869m, up to 57% above takeover price. Historic price-earnings ratio at IPO is 33 to 40 times.

4) The shares offered are all vendor shares, i.e. the company itself would not get a single cent

The PE owners can go F themselves.

it closed (bot at) 0.085 ct (0.085c + 0.05c = 13.5 ct) (it mean half a cent or 0.005c profit)

The highest can cha "high high" is at 0.145c for this wk oni. Remember conversion exe px is 0.05c, by the way how long does it take to convert - few days to one week ?, at 0.13c today (Nov 26, 2010).

Can some kind soul forumers further elaborate !!....need to pay the different or not ?.

Note - warrant price (which oneself bought) + exercise price in exchange for the mother share

He bot mother shares at about 6c - 8c (read some where in the forum).

PL converted another 50+ mil of warrants into shares (+ 4.39% more), and currently holds 22.01% of total outstanding shares. This shows that he is still vested in this Co. and definitely has plans for it.

Caveat Emptor.

Re-fresh - While information is always distinctively late and trading always coming in fast and ferocious at the fore. Forming very own decision wisely is as difficult as finding a pin in the ocean. When oneself is in d picture, it can always as good as not been able to tell what is good, bad or ugly. it is always human, to error...the less prone mistake decision make, the better.

In others word - stay outside of the picture and can see more or less, the truth self of it.

teeth53 - just my personnal opinion, as there r as many others may have alot differentiating it as well.

(To each it own, hope oneself chose d right choice...Happy trading..Ya.)

News from HK....Amtek cuts IPO size

http://www.financeasia.com/News/239687,hong-kong-listings-called-off-while-amtek-cuts-ipo-size.aspx?refresh=on

Meanwhile, in Singapore, Amtek Engineering downsized its IPO after the institutional demand was deemed to be insufficient.

which obviously begs the question ? of why ? this is a good time to buy when the original shareholders are divesting. The shares were sold by an entity owned by Standard Chartered Private Equity, CVC Capital Partners and the company management, which teamed up to buy the company in 2007.

At the time of the listing, Standard Chartered Private Equity and CVC will each own 28.3% of the company, while the management will hold a combined 5.3%. Shareholders who participate in the IPO will own 36.8%.

The IPO price was fixed at the bottom of the S$1.30 to S$1.60 for a total deal size of S$260 million ($200 million). The final price values the company at 8.3 times its 2011 earnings.

Divesting or pocketing by selling at higher prices ?.

Good time ? - with Euro PIIGs, with China / HK curbing it hot properties speculation and with North/South artillery firing @each others.
