S-chips is continuing with it momentum into year 2011, so selected S-chips may continue with it success by cross / dual listing, but pls do ur home work 1st (an understanding the value of investing)

Prospectus (managing risk & don get caught investing blindly, an understanding the value of investing).

Pricing (a key indicator on share price performance. PER-lower ratio the better it value the share price on offers).

Outlook IPO for 2010 and 2011  - Mostly volatile for most IPO float below it IPO-ed offer price, especially toward end of year 2010, with the exception of a few Institution funded backing up.

teeth53 thot -  Rolling forward to 1st half year 2011.

There will be a better 1st half with the impending coming local election, as much of the worst financial environment has been contain in EU, while China will continue monitor it bubbling assets and may spring more of it Chinese currencies (Yuan) trillion kept in reserve. US will still print QE2 hot money to spend and in turn offset it ever none stopping increasing debt by US$75 billion monthly.

Why companies going dual and or delist?. Players here is rather scare off by kiasu-ism

Its counterparts, HK, Korea are trade on average 12X PE. Dual listing is way to go, an exit strategy for xxx mkt for S-chips.

It's undeniable fact, our SGX mkt here is very kiasu-ism and are losing many potential IPOs to Taiwan, Korea, and HK.

When price disparity between the two listings are too great, it will make company eventually buy back and sell it.

A premium in the other bourses, ultimately dual and or delisting from here.

teeth53 thot - Making an attempt, is recent example is Amtek Engineering successful IPO ($1.30c).

next is GLP and MIT (both back up successful by GIC and Temasick), another recent success is STXOSV.

Year 2011 of rabbit might help lift it averaging PER higher, an understanding the value of investing (Amtek)

      DBSV Research recommendation

Expects a good start to 2011 due to strong liquidity inflows spurred by the strong SGD, a low interest rate environment and buoyant economic growth but uncertainties over inflation and interest rate hikes could surface towards 2H.

Our fundamental STI fair value is 3500 based on +0.5SD or 15.8x FY2011 earnings, which is not far above our trading objective of 3438. Among sector preferences are SembCorp Marine, Keppel Corp and Cosco Corp on the sustained recovery of orders for new rigs and production platforms

Offshore & Marine analysts sees the spurt in new orders since 4Q10 sustainable due to asset replacement triggered by stricter requirements for rigs vs. an aged rig fleet and from potential in new markets in drillships & wind farm vessels.

We prefer shipyards to offshore vessel owners. Picks are

      Keppel Corp (TP: $12.50),

      SembCorp Marine (TP: $6.0Cool and

      Cosco Corp (TP: $2.76).

Ya...It is tough initially - it can still be manageable over those initial period 1 - 2 years (be prepare for volatile flexible income). A starter can reasonable earn some income from a low base of about a thousand to two/three thousand plus plus, even oneself is successful there after - have to slog through one man job, it's ur own business. In other words some may found success ($100k ++ to who know how much one can earn ?.), some may not be ($2k - 3k +)

More important is passion. communication and negotiating skill plus a senior (Remiser / Broker) around to see ur success during initial period. (collection of trade payment / debt / loan repayment).

If got one senior, might as well get 1st hand infomation from him / her, all about been a M.Trader.

A successful senior can get some assist from Securities house, but for starter...humm.

For a day trader, it's fine - no problem trading in huge volume (everyone can win or loss, it our own money).

As for mobile broker working from home, pending your Securities house quota (buy/sell total volume), plus house rules (Securities deposit) and get pay - mean there is commission and collection of debt whuch mean oneself can act on behalf for several of your clients, like your own relatives names or close family living in others location.

Win or loss, it your money that is doing the trading, if and when others do trade with U as mobile Broker. U  have to manage their money and yours in proper way (don mix it to freely).

Asking oneself, am i that sharp, that focus, that accurate, that flexible, that hardwork, none greedy, very dicipline and not tame for, or growing accustom to live with greed.

Are U able to slog through one man job, it is your own business and can only success through hardwork and through a network of your clients.

This chart will further compliment....2012 result. STXOSV offshore Subsea construction vessels into yr 2011.

      http://sg.finance.yahoo.com/echarts?s=MS7.SI#symbol=ms7.si;range=3m;compare=;indicator=volume;charttype=area;crosshair=on;ohlcvalues=0;logscale=off;source=;

      1) News--OSV order win announcements – we est NOK10.6bn in 2011E, and NOK14.8bn in 2012E, respectively

      (2) earnings results – our estimates assume STX OSV will deliver 3-year 2009-2012E core earnings CAGR of 20%, driven by strong new order wins, and solid execution and

      (3) Investor awareness of STX OSV’s attractive valuation vs. sector proxies, Keppel and Sembcorp Marine.

      Valuation

Given an upturn in OSV newbuilds, we value STX OSV using a mid-cycle 2011E P/B of 2.9X to set our 12-month target price. We crosscheck our target price against the company’s industry peer group and apply our regression analysis based on P/B-ROE and Director’s Cut methodology. Our 12-month target price implies a 2011E P/E of 11X, which is in line with its industry peer group.

      Key risks

Key risks to our target price and investment view include: (1) Slow OSV newbuild orders, given significant current global order backlog and still tight newbuild financing; and (2) poor execution, which could result in major cost overruns, or delivery delays.

Offer, at the discretion of Goldman Sachs (S'pore), on TP set at 12 mths is $1.54c.

Will oil price break above the $100 mark ?. The Co looks 'cheap' based on the FY2010 projected PE Ratio.

After asuming a fair value range of 10-12x and the asuming fair value trading between $1.96 to two dollars plus, plus. 12-mths target price implies a 2011E P/E of 11X, which is in line with its industry peer grp.

The peers such as Cosco, Yangzijiang and Otto Marine are trading at much higher multiples, especially Cosco.

teeth53 thot - A reasonable, good recommendation, for holding over mid to longer term, not short term, and since day one....I oredi said it is worth a dollar.

The shipbuilder may consider acquisitions or ventures, he said, without elaboration.

Rebounding oil prices have spurred investment in offshore vessels globally, helping Alesund, Norway-based STX OSV more than double orders this year. The company had won contracts worth 10.2 billion kroner ($1.7 billion) as of Oct. 5, compared with 4.46 billion kroner for the whole of last year. Its backlog reached 17.5 billion kroner, or about 18 months’ work.
      Old news from.......................The KOREAN herald....Nov 2010.

Petrobras plans to spend $224 billion in the five years through 2014 to boost output and refining capacity, including buying drill-ships, semi-submersibles and offshore support vessels. The Rio de Janeiro-based company said it will revise its investment plan next year to include new oil reserves it bought from the government as part of a $70 billion successful share sale.
