GE: Opposition parties reflect on post—election results

A jubilant Mr Low said: In his victory speech on Sunday. " This is a political landmark in modern Singapore. Your courage has made a real breakthrough for future generations. We know this has not been an easy decision for each and everyone, but you have cast aside doubts and fears, and taken a real leap of faith.

" Your votes tell us the govt that you want — a home, not just a house. Your votes tell the world that Singapore is not just an economic success to you. Singapore is our home."

teeth53: LTK did not make any promises on anything, including on estate matter & etc, except first class opposition and first class parliament. On " a home, not just a house" this sweep statement got me confused??.

Post election analysis: Thing to note: Now that voting is over and result is out.

Ground may not be sweet for PAP, is goes too, to five other opposition parties, with d exception of WP.

GE PAP PM Lee: GE 2011 was a watershed poll

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong described the 2011 General Election. A watershed election -- one that has taken place in a very different world and a very different Singapore from five years ago.

That's how He acknowledged that many Singaporeans want the government to adopt a different style and approach -- and many also desire to see more opposition voices in parliament...81 PAP MPs and 9 opposition MPs in the next parliament -- 6 elected from the Workers' Party, and 3 Non-Constituency MPs.

He says the govt looks forward to these opposition MPs offering alternative views and by summing up, Mr Lee said it's time to heal and move forward -- not just for the parties, but for all Singaporeans:

" The political contest goes on in every country in one form or another. In Singapore, we must make sure it's harnessed for the good to make Singapore stronger and never to divide us."

He said its time for healing and acceptance of people's decisions not just for the party but is for all Singaporeans.

Mr Lee called on everyone to close ranks and secure Singapore's future together.

Now that voting is almost over and without incident.

A note on politician well being. A human being.

In politic, it all about power, every politicians who are involve in politiking and jogging for power, will know that it come with the greed to hold on to what they can ever gain or loss. it will be for the party interest first and their party ideology. Next is for oneself, be it to oppose or to rule, be it is for opposing or against.

There are too many example, alot of example, where political party chief, their General, their proxy, will fight to death using their own and each of their proxy, it is as far as on the others of this world and as near as in our neigbour and home. Ideology proxy victim will been used till death do them apart.

The only victim's is innocent bystander used as human shield for their master.

Wish all Aljuniess 200,000 voters all the best. We are lucky, somewhat..bless.

Just for info sharing. Hong Kong in most recent day had set minimum wages of US$3.60 cents per hour.

Mr Tan Jee Say says that the objective of his working paper is to produce an alternative economic plan. (Yahoo! photo)

He cited Hong Kong as an example. On what Tan Jee say said.

When asked if the policy is more of a theory than realistically applicable, Tan argued that it has been practiced in other countries. Where they are known to be economically competitive and have introduced a minimum wage system.

Once a long time ago, more than 2,000 years ago in China. There was seven warring states battling out, and in the aftermath, after the battle, three warring states is left. The seventh state emerged stronger and two others state still surviving.

Why as of today ??, so easy, so much more, so many criticising and so proud. Credit to the seventh state.

Scene 1

孙子兵法 Sun Zi bing fa in drawing out the various weak, weaker army to do battle in war....Less skillful General and some General whom has fought will be, becoming a casualties.

Scene 2

Having the seventh state General and 24 newly trained officers drawing up big battle plan, six others state and their General did also curve up each of their terrorities, to do their battle plan to fight the seventh state

Scene 3.....

Of the six smaller states. Two stronger warring states has had their battled General been drawn out of their territtory to fight outside their territory
