U.S. stocks advanced most since March 2009, driving Dow Jones Industrial Average, after six central banks took action on Euro’s debt crisis by making it cheaper for lenders to borrow in dollars.

Financial shares rallied 6.6 percent, the biggest gain in the Standard & Poor’s 500 Index among 10 groups. JPMorgan Chase & Co. (JPM) and Bank of America Corp. (BAC) surged at least 7.3 percent. Caterpillar Inc. (CAT) increased 8.1 percent and U.S. Steel Corp. climbed 15 percent after China lowered banks’ reserve requirements, bolstering optimism about economic growth. The Dow Jones Transportation Average jumped 4.8 percent.

The S& P 500 rose 4.3 percent to 1,246.96 at 4 p.m. New York time. The benchmark gauge rallied 7.6 percent in three days, the most since March 2009. The Dow added 490.05 points, or 4.2 percent, to 12,045.68. About 10 billion shares changed hands on U.S. exchanges, or 25 percent above the three-month average.

Central Banks act to ease financial strain...to get U.S. Dollars, it caused Euro and U.S. market to rose sharply. DOW rose by up to 400 points.

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2011-11-27/central-banks-ease-most-since-2009-to-avert-impact-of-european-debt-crisis.html

Central banks across five continents are undertaking the broadest reduction in borrowing costs since 2009 to avert a global economic slump stemming from Europe’s sovereign-debt turmoil.

The U.S., the U.K. and nine other nations, along with the European Central Bank, have bolstered monetary stimulus in the past three months. Six more countries, including Mexico and Sweden, probably will cut benchmark interest rates by the end of March, JPMorgan Chase & Co. forecasts.

The biggest bond dealers in the U.S. Federal Reserve is poised to start a new round of stimulus, injecting more money into the economy by purchasing mortgage securities instead of Treasuries.

Fed Chief Ben S. Bernanke and his fellow policy makers, who bot $2.3 trillion of Treasury and mortgage-related bonds between 2008 and June, will start another program next quarter, 16 of the 21 primary dealers of U.S. govt securities that trade with the central bank said in a Bloomberg News survey last week. The Fed may buy about $545 billion in home-loan debt, based on the median of the 10 firms that provided estimates.

Hi Teeth53,

How are you doing?

Everyone good to introduce - my stock broker, my POEM account dealer, and on roadside   " Ah Pei" near SGX building, also says this one " beri good" , " no horse run" .

Just 1 week did not see only, wa lan, " kena sai" , now only S$0.245, submarine liao. IPO price S$0.28.

MAS should set a rule, if price set at IPO, at least 1 yr must maintain at the IPO price, if any fell below, fine them. NB, price at S$0.28, and just 1 week only, kana sai. If this rule is set, only real and  genuine  company dare to IPO. After all Singapore is famous for fine. Singapore is a fine country. Take out true colour to fine la. NB. No offending.

NB = Na Bei.

http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/afp_asiapacific_business/view/1168140/1/.html

SHANGHAI - China on Monday started trading its domestic currency against two new units, the Australian dollar and Canadian dollar, in the latest move to promote greater internationalisation of the yuan.

The latest move brought the number of currencies traded against the yuan on the tightly-controlled onshore foreign exchange market to nine, China Foreign Exchange Trade System.

" There was only one deal for both of the two," Yuan weakened against both currencies on Mon.

The yuan is also traded against the US dollar, euro, British pound, HK dollar, Japanese yen, Malaysian ringgit and Russian ruble.

The central bank allows yuan to move up or down 0.5% from its fixed rate to the US dollar each day, but rise or fall three percent against other currencies.

Beijing has also allowed yuan-related financial products in Hong Kong, a semi-autonomous Chinese territory that has been acting as a test bed for the ambitious goal of making the unit a global currency.
